Box 758
Greeley, CO 80632
RE: Updating the original Koenig Gravel Pit file, Permit M-80-120.
Dear Mr. Carroll:
The Division has reviewed your letter of May 8, 1995 indicating the
change in mining equipment used at this site. I understood from our
previous telephone conversation that the only thing that changed from
before was the type of equipment that was used at this site. However,
your letter seems to indicate that a pumping (discharge?) permit has
been acquired and the pit may now be dewatered before material is
excavated. If this is the case, a revision to the permit may be
required because of the potential of dewatering to affect the
surrounding groundwater.
Please let me know whether the pit is now being dewatered before
mining within 30 days of receipt of this letter.
if yGu haJc 3riy q::est~.'7nu, plea.^.+e CCntaCt me.
Sincerely,
~~ ~ ~1r
Carl B.
