RECLAMATION PLAN <br />Requirement: The elevation of the backfilled surface will average from about 0.5 to 3 feet <br />above the groundwater elevation. This will result in a final surface that is from 2 to 10 feet <br />lower than the pre-mining surface elevation. (See Page 10) <br />Requirement: The southeastern corner of the Phase 1 backfill will have a shallow spillway <br />to drain water into the adjacent drainage that leads to the river. (See Page 10) <br />Water -General Requirements <br />Requirement: A substitute water supply plan will be in place prior to any dewatering <br />activities or consumptive uses of water in [he Phase 2 area. This is in addition to the <br />substitute water supply plan for the current Phase 1 operations. The substitute water <br />supply plan for Phase 2 may be approved through amendment of the existing plan or by <br />obtaining approval of a new plan specifically for Phase 2. (See Page 11) <br />Water -Groundwater SpeciSc Requirements - <br />Requirement: The existing ground water level monitoring program will be continued. <br />The water data will be reviewed on a periodic basis to identify ground water level problems <br />that may occur in the aquifer. This information and other data will be used to mitigate any <br />problems or respond to concerns. (See Page IZ) <br />Wildlife Considerations - <br />Requirement: All land not reclaimed to industrial or water storage uses will be reclaimed <br />to wildlife habitat using a blend of riparian forest, wetlands, and open water. <br />(See Page 12) <br />Topsoiling and Growth Media - <br />Requirement: Topsoils removed from this site will be distributed in a layer up to about a <br />foot or two in depth over the backfilled areas. (See Page 13) <br />Requirement: In the event the plan[ site will be revegetated rather than developed for <br />industrial purposes, soil will be spread at a depth of about one foot after thoroughly <br />ripping the surface of the plant site to remove compaction.
