HORSESHOE INTAKE SHORES (7} and UTE CREEK RESERVOIR SHORES (8)
• - No Change
TAILING DEPOSITION AREA (9)
You may recall discussions last summer (1980} pertaining
to our need to construct a road around the perimeter of the
tailing basin, We indicated that the technical revision
approved in July, 1980 by the Board allowed us to begin the
construction of this road. In addition to the road, we wish to
construct an interceptor canal and possible powerline around
the portion of the pond subject to drainage, and we require an
area for additional tailing delivery facilities. There is no
change in the fundamental tailing deposition plan. The pond is
adequately protected against the probable maximum flood,
however, for both environmental and industrial reasons, it is
advantageous to have the flexibility to route fresh water
. around the tailing pond.
Accounting for the progression of acres to be affected and
acres designated for future disturbance as buffer within the
tailing area is confusing, The following table should help to
clarify the breakdown.
I •
-5-
