TAILING LINE/POWERLINE (16) and EAST BRANCH FLOOD BYPASS
• PIPELINE (17)
As indicated by a comparison of the existing map with the '
amendment map, these adjustments are mainly a juggling of
affected land boundaries between areas 9, 16 and 17. The
Tailing Area (9) gained about 6 acres, 2 acres from the Tailing
Line Area (16) and 4 acres from the Flood Bypass Line Area
(17). There will be no change in the reclamation plan, '
TAILING BUILDING/ROAD (18)
The tailing maintenance building presently occupies the
top of a hill which will ultimately be covered by tailing.
When necessary, the building will be moved to one of two sites.
The alternative sites are 200 yards north of its present
location (still within Area 18) or the Spotted Doe Area (22).
• The choice will depend on operational and space requirements at
the time (which will be about year 1990) and how the terrain
can be modified to meet these needs.
We wish to add 39 acres to the existing 6 acres, however,
' only 14 of the 39 acres may be disturbed, leaving 25 acres for
potential disturbance as buffer.
There will be no change in the reclamation plan.
MILL WATER RETURN LINE/POWERLINE (19)
We wish to incorporate two islands of 5 acres and 2 acres
' as affected land into this area to provide flexibility and
buffer in this highly active area.
\J
-8-
