<br /> 12 <br /> • • • <br />' <br /> i <br />EXHIBIT E - RECLAMATION PLAN (REVISED) (continued) ~ <br /> The picnic area will contain 4 individual picnic sites 18 <br /> feet in length by 24 feet in width with compacted gravel <br /> surface suitable for all weather use. Each such site will <br /> be equipped with a standard picnic table and charcoal grill. <br /> Unsurfaced areas in this site will be topsoiled to a depth , <br /> i of at least 12 inches, graded, fertilized and seeded accord- <br /> ing to recommendations of the U.S. Soil Conservation Service <br /> as contained in Exhibits I and J, following. Tree planting <br /> in this area will be in accordance with recommendations of <br /> ': the Lorimer County Forester (with whom initial contact has <br /> been made), and the U.S. Soil Conservation Service as con- ' <br /> rained in Exhibits I and J, following. <br /> The lake will be located and generally configured as shown <br /> ' on the Reclamation Plan Maps (Revised), Exhibit F. Average <br /> depth of this lake will be about 20 feet, and slope of its <br /> banks will be 5H:1V, or gentler, throughout. Topsoiling to <br /> a depth of at least 12 inches, fertilizing, and seeding re- <br /> commended by th~a U.S. Soil Conservation Service will be <br /> carried to the high water line; side slopes of the lake be- <br /> low its high water line will be surfaced using the sandy <br /> loam overburden removed during extraction operations. Lake <br /> will be used for fishing, attd will be suitably stocked with I <br /> fish in accordance with recommendations of the Colorado State <br /> Division of Wildlife. <br /> Grading, topsoiling to a depth of at least 12 inches, fertiliz- <br /> ing, and seeding the remainder of the project area will be in , <br /> accordance with recommenations of the U. S. Soil Conservation <br /> Service as contained in Exhibits I and J, following. Drain- <br /> age from reclaimed area will continue to clear the site <br /> through appurtenances located in the Southeast Corner of <br /> the project as they existed prior tq commencement of mining <br /> operations. <br /> There will initially be no public access to this site until <br /> reclamation seeding and planting has had opportunity to be- <br /> come firmly established, and fish stockage in the lake has <br /> been accomplished. Thereafter, controlled access by the <br /> public will be permitted on a "first-come first served" <br /> basis; control c;•ill be exercised to the extent required to <br /> insure that no sore people than the area can accommodate <br /> will be permitted entry at any one time. <br /> 2. TREE AND SHRUB PLANTING: <br /> Tha plan for tree and shrub planting as part of reclamation <br /> in the mined area involves 3 basic aspects.
