PERMIT APPLICATION
REGULAR 112 (AMMENDMENT)
EXHIBIT G
Water Information
This operation is not expected to have any direct effect on the area's groundwater system.
No tributary watercourse, wells, stock water ponds, or reservoirs exist on the affected land,
although we do anticipate occasional springs along the pond banks. Dewatering of
excavation azeas is not anticipated since excavations will be limited to 35 feet. The water
table in this area ranges behveen 8-12 feet below the surface depending on seasonal weather
and subsurface water conditions. All of the exposed water wiIl be contained within the
permit boundaries as illustrated on Exhibits D and G. The access or haul road will be
sloped towards the pit or pond to mitigate any potential storm water runoff entering other
waterways. If there is any storm water runoff detected that could potentially impact other
azeas, all available measures will be taken to eliminate that scenario; such as straw bales, re-
grading, etc. Sandco Inc. has applied for well permit no. 59213F (see attached). This well
permit allows for evaporative loss and additional water for dust mitigation and reclamation
requirements. Evaporative loss amounts have been calculated by Division of Water
Resources. As for dust mitigation, we anticipate less than 10,000 gallons per year based on
the past 15 years of very similar operating conditions. Reclamation water requirements
should be well below the 350 gallons per minute allowed by the well permit. Further,
Sandco Inc. is preparing an application for a storm water management plan (permit) to be
submitted to the Colorado Department of Health.
