azound the property and the berms which aze placed in certain locations, lighting is not expected
to cause a nuisance to any neighbors. Furthermore, lighting will be shielded in order to further
ensure that the lights do not cause a nuisance. Port-o-potties will be used for employees. All
structures on site aze shown on Map C-2. The portable mining equipment such as loaders,
dozers, trucks and excavators will be serviced on an as-needed basis onsite. Upon reclamation,
all portable equipment will be removed from the site.
There will be no new fence azound the operation, since it is inside private property, there is a
buffer of at least 50' on all sides and all surrounding property is private. There are no existing
fences within the permit azea, nor will any fences be built through mining. No problems aze
expected with vandalism. It is extremely unlikely that any toxic or acid-producing materials will
be encountered dwing the mining operation since the past mining shows that the material is
alluvial in nature. However, in the event that such materials aze encountered, they will be
covered with subsoil and topsoil from the stockpiles to the same depths outlined in the
reclamation plan and no more mining will occur in this azea.
The operator commits to cleazly mazking the permit boundary with stakes surveyed onsite.
The site will use all existing roads to haul the product to its final destination. It is planned that
the material maybe used to re-surface existing roads, make concrete aggregate or provide new
road base for any new roads within an economic distance to the site.
Several hazardous materials will be stored and used onsite throughout the project. These
materials include products which aze associated with diesel motors, and products associated with
asphalt and concrete production.
If any "reportable quantity" of hazazdous material or waste is released into the environment, the
operator will notify staff of the Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology as well as all other
appropriate local, state and federal agencies. This is more completely described by an excerpt
from the February 8, 2002 DMG memorandum regazding Minerals Program Notification of
Toxic or Hazazdous Materials Spills at Mine Sites."
Anderson Pit December OS D-11
