Contractors may determine their ovn safety <br />practices and procedures for performing tasks <br />within their area of expertise commensurate with <br />industry practices. However, apparent violations <br />of applicable Federal, State or accepted industry <br />practices will be brought to the attention of <br />Contractor's supervisors for corrective action. <br />4. Contractors ere responsible for filing any and all <br />accident reports as required by regulatory agencies <br />and state worker's compensation lows. <br />Cotnpliaaee with Satety and Health Reouletions <br />1. When the Contractor, its employees or <br />subcontractors commence work, the contractor <br />contractually agrees to obey all applicable <br />Federal, State and local mine safety and health <br />lai+s and company rules and requlatione. <br />2. Every employee of the Contractor, subcontractor or <br />any other parson doing any work on the contraction <br />site will raeoivs hazard training to familiarize <br />them with the primary hazards related to the Work <br />activities. <br />3. Periodic inspections will be conducted by Battle <br />Mountain Gold Company roprosentatives. Salety <br />violations identified will be abated on a timely <br />basis by the Contractor or subcontractor. Battle <br />Mountain Gold company retains the right to refuse <br />access to company property to any Contractor, <br />subcontractor or vendor whose work procedures, <br />equipment and/or do not comply with applicable <br />salety or health atanflards. <br />a. =f a citation or citations ere received by Battle <br />Mountain Gold Company because of a Contractor'b <br />failure to comply with safety nndJor health <br />raguiations, the Contractor will be assessed the <br />cost of the fine and all subsequent Pines and <br />penalties that are incurred because of said <br />citation(c}. <br />safety Rules and Procedures <br />1. Whenever Contractor's employees are an company <br />property, it is expected that the Contractor or a <br />responsible person authorized by the contractor be <br />present and in charge of the Work. <br />
