i Exhibit C • <br />Page 1 of <br />BATTLfi MOUNTAIN GOLD COtf3ANY <br />CONTRACTOR SAFETY REQUIREtSENT& <br />I- PQkIflC <br />it is the policy of Battle Mountain Gold Company that all <br />Contractozs, subcontractors and other non-company personnel <br />performing work on company property shall comply with all <br />applicable regulatory requirements and the safety, health and <br />training obligations contained herein and in the contrnctual <br />agreement. <br />II. ~VRPOSE <br />The purpose of these guidelines is to protect cowpony <br />employees iron injury or illness while contract work is being <br />performod on company property; to ensure similar protection <br />for Contractor's employees by establishing project safety <br />plans and procedures; and to limit Battle Mountain Gold <br />Conpany's liability in its contractual relationship with nor.- <br />company personnel (contractors, vendors, supplies, etc.) <br />ISZ. jiFSPO_ NSIB;LZTIES <br />The responsibility for implementing the policy and procedures <br />is assigned to the Project Manager. The Project Manager, <br />together with Battle Mountain Gold Company, will devolop a <br />safety program for the project. Contractors, however, will bo <br />held responsible for the safety of their won employooc and for <br />performing work in a teanner that meets the requirements of <br />OSHA, MSHA, Stnte and Battle Mountain Gold Company safoty <br />policy and procedures. <br />iv. <br />A. Gen ral Considerations <br />1. Prior to commencing work, Contractor's <br />representatives shell meet with company <br />representatives to discuss and review project <br />safety and health requirements, including those <br />listed herein. The attached checklist. contained <br />should be used as a guide. <br />2. Contractors ors responsible for protecting the <br />health and safety of their own employees. Project <br />accident prevention programs shall bQ established <br />and maintained by Contractor's supervisors. <br />
