7.0 SYNTHETIC MATERIALS AND SYNTHETIC LINER PLACEMENT <br />• <br />7.1 Scooe <br />The Contractor shall furnish and install synthetic liners and <br />miscellaneous materials incident thereto as specified herein and in <br />accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations. Installation <br />includes excavation and backfilling of synthetic liner anchor <br />trenches as shown on the Drawings. Exact locations and lengths may <br />be varied to suit conditions encountered in the field, as approved <br />by the Engineer. <br />7.2 Conduct of Work <br />The Contractor shall protect installed synthetic liners in a <br />condition satisfactory to the Engineer at all times until the final <br />completion and acceptance of the work. Any approved installed liners <br />~ which become damaged or unsuitable for any reason whatsoever before <br />• final acceptance of the work shall be removed and replaced by the <br />Contractor at his own expense in a manner satisfactory to the <br />Engineer. <br />The Contractor shall be responsible for constructing the <br />synthetic liner in an upstream to downstream direction unless <br />otherwise specified or directed by the Engineer. Following synthetic <br />liner placement, no vehicular traffic and minimal installation labor <br />traffic will be permitted on the synthetic liner surface. Special <br />access across the liner, if required, shall be approved by the <br />Engineer. <br />The Contractor shall demonstrate the method to place liner for <br />the Engineer's approval. <br />r, <br />U <br />31 <br />
