CAMEO GRAVEL
EXHIBIT D
MINING PLAN
Middle Mine Area (42.0 Ac. affected area)
The sequence of proposed activities in Middle Mine Area are as follows:
Phase 1:
The starting point of excavation for the proposed (112) permit will be within the
existing (110) permit area (9.55 acres) located in Parcels 2 and 3 which is
currently being mined (See Exhibit C).
Phase 2:
Western Slope Flagstone intends to continue mining and reclaiming the existing
(110) site in 2 acre phases.
Phase 3 and future Phases:
The proposed mining operation wiA continue in a northwesterly direction to the
limits of the middle mine plan {See Exhibit C).
The start-up time of the first phases is estimated to take 2-4 years to allow for
preparation of storage and sales yard area and haul road improvements. The
remaining phases are estimated to be completed in 2 year intervals, depending
on market demand.
North Mine Area (25.9 Ac. affected area)
The sequence of proposed activities in North Mine Area are as follows:
Phase 1:
The starting point of excavation within the North Mine Area will be the site
preparation for materials, equipment and fuel storage, scales, sales yard and
crusher (approximately 2 acres). Site improvements will remain for future use
after the life of the pit, and will not be reclaimed. It is estimated that the majority
of the materials removed from Phase 1 will be used for haul road improvements.
Phase 2:
As more materials are needed, the mining will continue in a southerly direction to
the South limits of the North Mine Area. As materials in Phase 2 (Approximately
2.3 acres) are depleted, reclamation will follow in1 acre increments.
Phase 3 and future Phases:
Mining will be on the West side of the haul road adjacent to Phase 2, and will
continue to the West and North with approximately 2.2 acre intervals.
Each area will be mined and reclaimed in Phases. The North and Middle Mine Areas
contain 31 Phases -containing 2.0.-2.5 acres. The approximate life of each phase will
be 2-5 years.
All road improvements shall remain and not be reclaimed because they are currently
and will continue to be used by the utility companies for ingress/egress and
maintenance.
