~~ <br /> <br />ADDENDUM - Indian Springs Ranch Incorporated (ex Indian Springs <br />Milling and Mining) <br />(Bernie and Sylvia Thorson, cwners) <br />Application for; Limited Impact Operation <br />Gypsum Quarry <br />Freemont County, Colorado <br />Type of Mining Operation <br />Quarrying will extract less than 70,000 tcr.s cf mineral, over- <br />burden or combination thereof per calendar year. <br />Reclamation of Access; Road <br />The access road from the 10 acre quarry site (which is approx- <br />imately 1500 ft.. long and extends in a northeasterly direction) <br />joins an existing road north of Six Mile Creek and is now in <br />I.~` existence but u;;ed on a limited basis. <br />p.i L.~ <br />~?~'~~,1'.~'~This road will be improved far use during the quarrying <br />i-~~ operation, The final use of this road after cessation of <br />~,,1 '~~ quarrying operations will be left for access; compatible <br />with the surrounding area. It is anticipated that limited <br />reclam~tinn of i:he road will be necessary. During the quarry <br />life this road will 'Ge improved to allow for drainage and there <br />will be no additional work necessary for drainage after quarry <br />cessation. <br />Stabilization of Top::oil Stockpile <br />The area designated as stockpile is in the northwest corner <br />of the pex7nit area site. This stockpile area will be contained <br />by a drainage area to prevent runoff from the quarry entering <br />the stockpile, The present quarry area contains large boulders <br />_~,r"' and rubble. This n•aterial will be placed on the top of the <br />soil stockpile t:o inhibit wind and water erosion. The surface <br /><~~, `area will be similar to the existing surface condition and <br />~' ;~\'; "; ~ natural growth will be promoted. <br />,~ ,, _ ion, 4 z; V. , <br />x ~,,.~ ,. <br />.y:,`'` Landslide and Slope 7:n stability <br />The first five }ears of quarry operations will expose a limited <br />amount of ind~e~P.t:h gypsum.
