Addendum-Indian Spriigs Ranch Incorporated
Page Two
The only form of instability existing in the bedded deposits of
gypsum that are exposed in the area is from weathering. This
weathering has riot created any landslides or other disturbances
and the exposin€; of a gypsum face at a 1:1 slope will not pro-
mote any activity of this type.
Safeguarding the Area.
The quarry site has limited access and there is an existing
fenceline southeast of the permit area. As quarrying progresses
a fence will be erected to deter ingress into the area.
Revegatation of Permit Area
Attached is a revegatation plan prepared by the Soil Conservation
Service in Canon City, Colorado.
This plan will consist of the following: (See attached mining
and reclamation plans)
The upper benched area will be on a 1:1 slope, and as the
strata permits the benches will be on the most impervious
layer available to inhibit erosion. The existing land above
the quarry area will have ditches and contours to promote
water run-off into existing natural drainage.
The quarried ,area will allow the bench areas to weather
(i.e. a 20-ye:ar life expectancy) and form natural contours.
The final quarry floor will be maintained on a minimal slope
to allow fox water run-off into a settling area at the north-
east side of 1=he permit area. This water run-off system
will be maintained during the quarry life. The quarry flQOr
will be coverfad with the on final topsoil that has Teen stock-
piled. The quarry floor will then be revegatated as per
recommendations-Ty the SCS.
_ ~,,, 1
INMINCO
