12. The Permittee%ontractor will be responsible for keeping the State Highway 285 travel lanes clear of any mud <br />or debris tracked onto it throughout the reconstruction of the access.. Any mud or debris that is tracked onto <br />the highway shall be removed daily or as otherwise directed by the Maintenance Foreman. <br />13. No drainage from this site shall enter onto the State Highway 285 travel lanes. The access shall be <br />constructed and maintained in a manner that will not cause water to enter onto the roadway, and will not <br />interfere with the existing drainage within the State Highway 285 right-of-way. Drainage to the State <br />Highway right-of--way shall not exceed the historical rate of flow. <br />14. Aside drain culvert is required for this access. Anew 18inch corrugated steel or 2linch X 15inch arched steel <br />pipe shall be used to extend the existing culvert as directed by the Maintenance Foreman. If the ends of the <br />existing culvert are damaged, the Permitted shall straighten or cut the end off to so as to insure a proper fit to <br />the new culvert. The Maintenance Foreman may also require an increase in the size of the side drain to <br />adequately handle the historical drainage flows. <br />I5. The side drain culveR shall be of sufficient length to extend beyond the tce of the access slope. The side drain <br />shall be installed in a [Wanner that provides proper drainage, with no less than twelve inches of compacted <br />backfill material over the top of the culvert. In accomplishing this requirement it may be necessary for the <br />Permittce to perform some minor drainage ditch shaping. The side drain shall not be installed prior to review <br />and authorization from the Maintenance Foreman. <br />16. All required access improvements shall be installed prior to [he here-in authorized use of this access. <br />17. No construction work will be allowed within the highway right-of--way on Saturdays, Sundays, legal holidays <br />or during periods of inclement weather. <br />18. All work shall cease within the highway right-of--way one hour before sunset and will not begin until one hour <br />after sunrise <br />19. In the even[ it becomes necessary to remove any right-of--way fence, the posts on either side of.the access shall <br />be securely braced with approved end posts and bracing in conformance with M-607-1, before the fence is cut <br />to prevent slacking of the remaining fence. All posts and wire removed shall be returned to the maintenance <br />shop, at the direction of the local Maintenance Foreman. <br />20. The applicant is hereby notified that a fencing agreement with the Department is required for any decorative <br />fence that is erected within the highway right-of--way. Please contact Mr. Darrel Lowder, Region S Senior <br />Right-Of--Way Agent at 3803 North Main Avenue, Suite 300, Durango, Colorado 81301, or call (970) 385- <br />1400 within sixty (60) days of this permit transmittal date. <br />21. All existing right-of-way markers shall be protected during construction of this access. Any damage to these <br />markers shall require resetting by a Colorado Professional Land Surveyor. <br />22. The Permitce must notify owners or operators of underground utility facilities at least two business days prior <br />m making or beginning excavations in the vicinity of such facilities, as required under Section 9-1.5-103, <br />Colorado Revised Statutes. Call Utility Notification Center of Colorado (CTNCC), 1-800-922-1987 for <br />marking of member utilities. Call Non-member utilities directly. <br />23. The Permittce shall be responsible for verification of existing utility locations. If any damage occurs to these <br />utilities during construction, it shall be the Permittee's responsibility to repair or replace the utility a[ no cos[ to <br />the deparunent. <br />24. If the permitted use of [he access causes the flow of vehicles entering the property at this location to queue or <br />hesitate on [he highway creating a traffic hazazd, as determined by CDOT, the Permittee shall be required to <br />modify or reconstruct the access to CDOT standards and specifications at no cost to CDOT. <br />
