There was eighteen inches (depth) of sludge <br />deposit at the outfall of Pond E. At the culvert near <br />the historic school house (a distance of <br />• approximately 5,000 feet from the Pond E outfall), <br />the depth of sludge was one foot. There was six <br />inches of sludge in the culvert. See the picture to <br />the right. A boom had been placed just below the <br /> <br />Another boom had been placed at the culvert under the <br />railroad where train crews are exchanged (just above the <br />Routt County Road 133 crossing of the railroad tracks, <br />center of the south line of Sec 21 TSN R86W, <br />approximately 12,000 feet from the Pond E outfall). <br />Slurry stains were at a height of about six inches in the <br />culvert. Depth of sludge was approximately two inches. <br />See picture above. Below this crossing, sludge depths <br />were about'/, inch, the slurry line was about six inches <br />above the thalweg of the creek. See picture to the left. <br />C-1982-056. A coating of sludge, <br />approximately 1/16-inch thick coated the lining of the <br />stream for a depth of approximately six inches above the <br />stream thalweg. <br />
