<br />Water Sample 5 was taken in Middle Creek just above <br />the juncture with Foidel Creek (see picture to the left). <br />Water Sample 6 was taken just below the confluence of <br />Foidel Creek with Middle Creek. <br />There appeazed to be no flow in Foidel Creek at a <br />location in the NE'/< SW %. Sec 22 TSN R86W, <br />approximately 3 stream-miles below the dischazge into <br />Foidel Creek from Pond E. This region is relatively flat, <br />and overlies the mined out and subsided Eastern Mining <br />District. <br />There were no diversions noted from Foidel Creek other <br />than those (not in use) within the Permit Area. <br />Diversions were noted from Middle and Trout Creek. The most upstream of these, below the confluence of <br />Foidel Creek with Middle Creek, was in an azea outside the permit area know as the "Camilletti Bottom", <br />shown in the picture below (located in the NE'/, Sec 12 TSN R86W and NW '/. Sec 7, TSN R85W). <br />SUPPORT FACILITIES <br />As can be seen in the pictures of Pond E above, this <br />pond was out of compliance at the time of the <br />inspection, and needs to be cleaned of slurry deposits <br />(settlings) and put back into design configuration for <br />continued operations. <br />SLIDES AND DAMAGE <br />The damaged slurry transfer line and the access manhole <br />had been repaired.
