(Golder) is pleased to submit this summary of Phase IVb and c Construction <br />Quality Assurance (CQA) services performed for the Cresson Project during the period of June 15 <br />through 24, 2003. <br />The weather during this reporting period was cleaz to cloudy. Approximate daytime low <br />temperatures ranged from 40° F to 48° F, and highs ranged from 62° F to 85° F. Precipitation was <br />recorded on five days of this ten-day reporting period (June 16 through 20). Weather observations <br />were made on nine days of this ten-day reporting period. <br />Construction Synopsis <br /> <br />Ames Constmction Ina (Ames) of Aurora, Colorado is the earthworks contractor for the Phase IVb <br />construction. Ames conducted Phase IVb and c construction activities on nine days of this ten-day <br />reporting period (June 16 through 24). Poly-Flex conducted Phase Nb construction activities on seven <br />days of this ten-day reporting period (June 16 through 20, 23, and 24). <br />Phase IVb <br />Ames conducted slope re-contouring and re-compaction on Substation Hill, north and upslope of the <br />PSSA. <br />Ames continued excavation of the Phase Nb primary geomembrane anchor trench neaz the Phase IVa <br />tie-in, excavating approximately 400 linear feet of anchor trench in prepazation for geomembrane <br />deployment. Ames excavated and backfilled approximately 100 linear feet of Phase Nb primary <br />geomembrane anchor trench neaz the east end berm on the Phase III ore slope. <br />
