Phase IVb Weekly Summary No. 22 Page 2 003-2203 <br />Ames exposed approximately 100 lineaz feet of geomembrane liner at the Phase Nb /Phase III tie-in <br />by removing previously placed Drain Cover Fitl (DCF). <br />Ames completed placement of HVSCS secondary and tertiary piping within the Phase Nb PSSA and <br />continued placement in the OSA, followed by DCF placement per project plans. Ames completed haul <br />and placement of DCF onto the Phase Nb PSSA upper geomembrane in the central portion of the <br />PSSA, and continued in the Phase Nb OSA north of the PSSA near the LOB. Ames began placement <br />of DCF in the Phase Nb OSA adjacent to the Phase IVa tie-in. <br />Ames hauled and placed ore in the Phase IVb PSSA and OSA for haul road construction in the eastern <br />portion of the PSSA and adjacent to the LOB. <br />Ames backfilled approximately 400 feet of Leak Detection Trench (LDT) on the south slope of <br />Substation Hill in the Phase Nb OSA azea. <br />Ames continued production of DCF at the screen plant located near the secondary crusher. Ames <br />resumed production of SLF. <br />Ames continued construction of the vertical risers in the Phase Nb PSSA sump, per project plans. <br />Ames hauled, placed, and compacted Soil Liner Fill (SLF) material into the Phase IVb OSA, on the <br />• south slope of Substation Hill. Rain-damaged SLF material was either removed and replaced, or <br />reworked and retested. <br />Ames hauled and placed Bedding Fill (BF) material into the Phase Nb OSA on the Phase III ore slope <br />adjacent to the east end berm in preparation for geomembrane deployment. <br />Poly-Flex continued deployment of 80-mil single-sided textured LLDPE geomembrarte in the Phase <br />IVb OSA. Geomembrane was placed in the Phase Nb OSA on the south slope of Substation Hill, neaz <br />the Phase Na/IVb and Phase IIUIVb tie-ins. Poly-Flex deployed 80-mil single-sided textured LLDPE <br />geomembrane over an area of approximately 250,830 squaze feet in the Phase IVb OSA during this <br />reporting period. Geomembrane panels B-184 through B-250 were deployed, seamed, and tested by <br />Poty-Flex. Destructive fusion and extrusion seam samples DFb-57 through DFb-75, and DXb-14 <br />through DXb-18 were mazked and removed. Destructive fusion and extrusion seam peel and shear tests <br />on 80-mil single-sided textured LLDPE geomembrane deployed during this reporting period passed per <br />project specifications. <br />Poly-Flex deployed 100-mil smooth LLDPE geomembrane in the Phase IVb OSA adjacent to the east <br />end berm on the Phase III ore slope. Poly-Flex deployed 100-mil smooth LLDPE geomembrane over an <br />azea of approximately 7,616 squaze feet in the Phase Nb OSA during this reporting period. <br />Geomembrane panels B-208 through B-213 were deployed, seamed, and tested by Poly-Flex. <br />Destructive fusion and extrusion seam samples DFb-63 through DFb-64 and DXb-17 were mazked and <br />removed. Destructive fusion and extrusion seam peel and sheaz tests on 100-mil smooth LLDPE <br />geomembrane deployed during this reporting period passed per project specifications.
