(Golder) is pleased to submit this summary of Phase IVb and c Construction <br />• Quality Assurance (CQA) services performed for the Cresson Project during the period of June I <br />through June 7, 2003. <br />The weather during this reporting period was clear to cloudy. Approximate daytime low <br />temperatures ranged from 32° F to 42° F, and highs ranged from 49° F to 75° F. Precipitation was <br />recorded on June 1 and June 4 through June 7. Weather observations were made on six days of this <br />seven-day reporting period. <br />Construction Synopsis <br />Ames Construction Ina (Ames) of Aurora, Colorado is the earthworks contractor for the Phase Nb <br />construction. Ames conducted Phase Nb and c construction activities on six days of this seven-day <br />reporting period (June 2 through June 7, 2003). Though Poly-Flex arrived on site six days of this <br />seven-day reporting period, Phase Nb construction activities were conducted on three days (June 2 <br />through June 4, 2003). <br />Phase IVb <br />Ames continued excavation of the Phase Nb / Nc geomembrane anchor trench, excavating <br />approximately 450 feet of northern anchor trench, west of the Loadout bin (LOB) area. <br />Ames completed backfill of the upper Phase Nb PSSA primary anchor trench, backfilling <br />• approximately 200 feet of north primary anchor trench, and approximately 200 feet of south ore slope <br />primary anchor trench. <br />
