Approved plan does not match the proposed plan in
TR-25 and has backfill grading deadlines for this year. The backfill and grading plan has
been changed with TR-25 including the addition of new variance azeas, but has not yet
been approved.
PM-12 post mine channel for the lazge gully between new Pond O11A and Pond 011
should be completed by the end of this field season. This azea was one part of NOV-
2003-006 and Cessation Order CO-2003-011. Abatement required a plan for channel
design. Roy Karo indicates that the work is completed, but it has not been inspected.
Armand Draw-NOV CV-2004-002 is pending. The gully between Culvert YB-b and
Pond 010 was inspected in August and has been successfully repaired. Abatement Steps
No.'s 2 and 3 have not been successfully completed. Culvert YB-6 remains to be
replaced and erosion repair and riprap placement needs to be completed below
culverts YB-6 and EX-4 in order to terminate the violation. The site of the violation
will be inspected on or before September 28, 2004.
Slide above Pond 012 continues to be an active slide azea. The entire azea will be
regraded. SCC has been requested to re-grade the area above Pond 012 to no steeper than
3:1. If the Pond 012 capacity is impacted, enforcement actions will be taken.
Post mine channels should be constructed following the final grading of spoil and not
delayed until after runoff has severely damaged the graded areas.
