The mlx ~ as follows;
Seed Mix

L
Alpine Timothy Ph/eum alpinum
and/or
Alpine Bluegrass Poe alpine
andlor
Spike Trisetum Tnsetum spicatum
all totaling 4
Tufted Hairgrass Deschampsia caespitosa 3
Timothy Phieurtt pralense 4
Kerrtudry Bluegr~,s Poe,wetensis 3
Hard FPCntP l=r~rca avina Cturar 4
Sheep Feswe Festuca ovine Cover 4
Red Fescue Festuca rubs 5
Hed I ap Ag~osUS albs 5
Wttile Dulrit Cluver Trrlolium repe0s ~
ToFal 37
'PLS is pounds of pure live seed per acre.
We have committed to leaving (or p(acing) a 1 to 2 foot high berm of
dredge tailing along the down.gradient edge of the affected land as the
operation enlarges. Most, tf not all. predphatlon wlll Inflllrate the dredge tailiru~
because it is so permeable. Still, the objective of the berm is to filter any
potential surface Nnoff that aught oaair in a major precipibtion event.
You have suggested that we plant willows in the berm. We believe
that also is a good idea and agree to plant willow cuttings in the baee of the
berm and to leave the berm as a seml-permanent fearure in the reclaimed
topoq~~ph~ We will plant approximately 1 cutting every 5-feet - bul - as
with the ot(isr aspects of revegetation (and for the same reasons) we do not
expel t0 be held to any standard or success rate for rhese rxrTrings.
The willow cuttings will be obtained from the wtllows adjacent to the
affected land. R is estimated that one-half of the edge of the atFe~:ted land will
be benned. Therefore, approximately 1,000 cutiings will be reyufred.
You have sugge.~ that the final grading pf the sde shoultl provide a
natural appearance with undulations. We will endeavor to do that but the
degree of undulation that we can leave will be quits limited because we
(mend i0 remove essentlally all Of the dredge talling down ro 1.5 m 9.0-feet
above the water table. I lence, we cannot leave extensive undulations in the
surface because we cannot get loser than 1.5-feet to the water table.
2. Fuel Storage
