Under WWL
oversight, personnel of Battle Mountain Gold or their contractors will responsible
far operating all sampling equipment, obtaining the sample and fillip the sample
containers supplied for the split samples. It is expected that water qualit samples will
include quality control samples consisting of field duplicates, field bla ks and rinse
blanks collected according to the prescribed schedule. A standard sam le of known
cyanide concentration will also be periodically submitted in a blind anner to the
laboratory. Sampling activities are estimated to be completed in appr imately one
day.
All pertinent field activities and observations during the sampling vent will be
recorded, chronologically, in a hard-bound field book. Chain-of-cu tody forms,
received from the laboratory at the time the sample containers are obt fined, will be
maintained throughout the sampling episode. Following sampling, the sample
containers will be transported to the selected analytical laboratory ccording to
documented protocols. While the list of laboratory parameters to be ana yzed for the
spilt samples has not been specified at this time, it is expected that the p rameters to
be analyzed will, at least, include cyanide and selected metals.
Project Manager 2 hour @ S70 140
Project Engineer 11 hours travel @ S55 605
Project Engineer 12 hours field @ S55 660
Travel 570 miles @ 50.50 285
Subsistence 2 days @ S70 140
Subtotal 511,830
Task 3. The data verification will include evaluation of quality control sat
(duplicate, rinsate and blank samples), calculation of the major ion balance
calculation of the cyanide balance, and comparison of the data to previo
results. Any water quality data that exceeds control criteria will be noted
of compliance and the laboratory will be contacted.
