DIVISION OF MINERALS & GEOLOGY BOARD PERMIT AMENDMENT APPLICATION
REGULAR OPERATION (112)
PERMIT # M-1992-066
HOGUE RIVER PIT
EXHIBIT D Mining Plan
reclaimed in conjunction with removal of the gravel beneath this berm. This
operation will be accomplished by starting at the western end, removing a 50 foot
section of the berm, mining the gravel underneath, then continuing by pushing the
the existing topsoil berm into the mined area and continuing the mining as
normally is done in a "strip mine" application. The resulting surface will be as
shown on the reclamation plan.
In reclamation, the remaining material in the mined area will conform to a pond
bottom. The slopes and finished areas will conform to the reclamation plan.
There may be an excess of some materials when the pit is depleted. Every effort
will be made to sell any remaining excess.
By mining in this manner we will remove more than 98% of the existing resource
upon completion.
E. Current Phases
Phase I, consists of approximately 15 acres. Approximately 12 acres have been
mined. There are approximately 3 acres remaining to be mined in the final stages
of the mining operation. Estimated time to complete unmined acreage is 6
months.
Phase II, consists of approximately 10 acres. This phase has been mined
completely.
Phase III, consists of approximately 6 acres. No mining had been done in this
phase. Estimated time to complete unmined acreage is 2.5 years.
Phase IV, consists of approximately 7 acres. Approximately 5 acres have been
mined. There are 2 acres remaining in this phase unmined. Estimated time to
complete unmined acreage is 1 year.
Phase V, consists of approximately 13 acres. No mining has been done in this
phase. Estimated time to complete unmined acreage is 7 years.
