DIVISION OF MINERALS & GEOLOGY BOARD PERMIT AMENDMENT APPLICATION
REGULAR OPERATION (112)
PERMIT # M-1992-066
HOGUE RIVER PIT
This EXHIBIT D Mining Plan
stockpile was shaped, seeded and is to remain for the duration of the project.
Upon completion of mining, the owner requests that the berm be removed and
the area be leveled.
Wetlands topsoil was removed with an excavator loaded on haul units and moved
directly to wetland replacement areas.
Our wash plant and scales are currently located in a portion of Phase I. Processed
material stockpiles are also located in this area. Actual area mined in Phase I was
8 acres.
Reclamation for the pond shore has been completed in Phase I on the eastern and
Phases I and II on the southeastern edges (see map). The outer edges of the pond
are constructed so that no slopes steeper than 3:1, from a minimum of 5 feet above
the eventual surface of the water to 10 feet below the surface of the water.
A portion of the settling pond and ditch are located in Phase I.
Explosives are not required in this mining operation,
D. Current Conditions
Mining will continue with the crusher-wash plant complex to remain in its present
location. The remaining material in Phase III and IV will be removed. Following
this removal, the present berm located between Phases IV and V will be moved to
the northern limits along Highway 40. There will be excess material from the
existing berm that will be used to reclaim banks in Phases III and IV. Once the
berm has been moved and revegetated, mining will proceed to Phase V.
After Phase V material has been extracted, the wash plant and stockpiles will be
moved to the pit bottom, west of the current crushing operation. This will allow
mining of the area presently occupied by the wash plant and stockpiles, and the
scale house.
The large berm along Highway 40, west of the pit entrance will be lowered and
