This was evidenced by the formation of rills that <br />be~nn at t•he top of the pile. Prior to the aoncluaion of the <br />inspection, the operator constructed a berm in this are'a.to prevent <br />taster [tom ilowinyt over the lace of the pile. •The operator <br />conti.nicna sad should continue to maintain a berm arrd Gilt fence <br />' around the yerimeter of the pile, at the top of the pile. MCC <br />' should complete the reclamation of the western aide of t}re refuse <br />pile, including seeding, prior to the end of ttrla field season. <br />• ~•. <br />PQJlD SPORT <br />,. ~ •t i <br />MB-ir The operator's pond inspection ieport for .the second <br />quarter oP 1993, noted a seep at the NiQ corner oP the toe <br />of the enbanl'.ment near the 5w corner of the surface shop. <br />• At the time of the Division's inspection the embankment <br />was damp, and there was standing water of the gravel pad <br />below tics enbanlcmerrt. 7'hure are cattails growing, which <br />is evidence that cite seep has been active for some time. <br />This area should continue to be monitored, .to identify <br />the source of the water. There ware some cracks noted on <br />• the north side of the pond, on top of the embankment. I <br />am not ^ure iP the cracks are related to settlement or <br />ir,stabilit;• oP the embankment.
