No Bid will be accepted from, nor will any Contract be awarded to, any <br />Bidder who is in arrears to the City and County of Denver, Colorado, upon <br />debt or contract, or who is a defaulter, as surety or otherwise, upon any <br />obligation to the said City, or is deemed irresponsible or unreliable. <br />3. TAXES AND PERMITS: <br />Attention is directed to the requirements of the General Conditions <br />regarding payment of taxes and obtaining permits. All taxes that are <br />lawfully assessed against OWNER or CONTRACTOR in connection with the Work <br />shall be paid by CONTRACTOR. The bid prices shall include all such taxes <br />and the costs of all required permits. <br />4. REQUIREMENTS FOR CORPORATIONS INCORPORATED OUTSIDE THE STATE OF <br />COLORADO: <br />Before or at the time that the Contract is awarded to a corporation <br />incorporated outside the State of Colorado, such corporation must carry out <br />the proper procedure to do business in the State of Colorado, designate a <br />place of business therein, and appoint an agent for service of process, all <br />in accordance with Colorado Revised Statutes, Sections 7-9-101 through 7-9- <br />119. <br />Such corporation must furnish the OWNER with a certificate from the <br />Colorado Secretary of State to the effect that a certificate of authority <br />to do business in the State of Colorado has been issued. A photostatic <br />copy of the designation of place of business and appointment of agent for <br />service of process, or a letter stating that such designation of place of <br />business and agent for service of process has been made shall be procured <br />from the Colorado Secretary of State. <br />5. CONTRACTOR LICENSING: <br />CONTRACTORS and subcontractors shall comply with the licensing requirements <br />found in the building code or regulations of the authority having <br />jurisdiction where Work is to be done. <br />6. NONDISCRIMINATION IN CONTRACTING PROGRAM: <br />Bidders shall comply with the provisions of the Board's Nondiscrimination <br />in Contracting Program set forth in the Contract Documents. Goals for this <br />project have been established as 5~ participation of the total bid amount. <br />It is the intent of the Program that qualified Contractors, Subcontractors, <br />or Suppliers be utilized to the fullest extent possible, to perform work or <br />provide the supplies and services required by the Drawings and <br />Specifications.
