7. FAMILIARIZATION WITH THE WORK: Before submitting a Bid, each prospective Bidder shall familiarize himself with the Work, the site where the Work is to be performed, local labor conditions and all laws, regulations and other factors affecting performance of the Work. Bidder shall carefully correlate his observations with requirements of the Contract Documents and otherwise satisfy himself of the expense and difficulties attending performance of the Work. The submission of a Bid will constitute a representation of compliance by the Bidder. There will be no subsequent financial adjustment for lack of such familiarization. 7.01. Site Conditions Each Bidder shall visit the site of the Work and completely inform himself relative to construction hazards and procedure, the availability of lands, access to the land, the character and quantity of surface and subsurface materials and utilities to be encountered, the arrangement and condition of existing structures and facilities, the procedure necessary for maintenance of uninterrupted operation of existing facilities, the character of construction equipment and facilities needed for performance of the Work and facilities for transportation, handling and storage of materials and equipment. All such factors shall be properly investigated and considered in the preparation of the Bid. 7.02. Access to Site Access to the site(s) can be accomplished on city streets and OWNER's ` rights-of-way. 7.03. Prebid Conference A mandatory prebid conference will be held with representatives of the ENGINEER to discuss the project and answer questions. Eidders are required to attend and participate in the conference. The conference will be held at 1600 West 12th Avenue, Denver, Colorado 80204, in Room 308, at 10:00 a.m., local time, Monday, July 7, 2003. The conference will be used to address any questions related to the project requirements. Attendance is a requirement for submission of a Bid. Following this conference a mandatory jobsite tour will be held at 2:00 p.m., local time. B. All questions concerning the Contract Documents shall be submitted to ENGINEER in writing. Questions should include seeming inconsistencies between different provisions of the Contract Documents. Replies will be issued by addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by ENGINEER as having received the bid documents. Questions received fewer than 5 working days prior to the date for opening of Bids will not be answered. Only questions answered by formal written Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect.
