7. FAMILIARIZATION WITH THE WORK: <br />Before submitting a Bid, each prospective Bidder shall familiarize himself <br />with the Work, the site where the Work is to be performed, local labor <br />conditions and all laws, regulations and other factors affecting <br />performance of the Work. Bidder shall carefully correlate his observations <br />with requirements of the Contract Documents and otherwise satisfy himself <br />of the expense and difficulties attending performance of the Work. The <br />submission of a Bid will constitute a representation of compliance by the <br />Bidder. There will be no subsequent financial adjustment for lack of such <br />familiarization. <br />7.01. Site Conditions <br />Each Bidder shall visit the site of the Work and completely inform <br />himself relative to construction hazards and procedure, the <br />availability of lands, access to the land, the character and quantity <br />of surface and subsurface materials and utilities to be encountered, <br />the arrangement and condition of existing structures and facilities, <br />the procedure necessary for maintenance of uninterrupted operation of <br />existing facilities, the character of construction equipment and <br />facilities needed for performance of the Work and facilities for <br />transportation, handling and storage of materials and equipment. All <br />such factors shall be properly investigated and considered in the <br />preparation of the Bid. <br />7.02. Access to Site <br />Access to the site(s) can be accomplished on city streets and OWNER's <br />` rights-of-way. <br />7.03. Prebid Conference <br />A mandatory prebid conference will be held with representatives of <br />the ENGINEER to discuss the project and answer questions. Eidders <br />are required to attend and participate in the conference. <br />The conference will be held at 1600 West 12th Avenue, Denver, <br />Colorado 80204, in Room 308, at 10:00 a.m., local time, Monday, <br />July 7, 2003. The conference will be used to address any questions <br />related to the project requirements. Attendance is a requirement for <br />submission of a Bid. Following this conference a mandatory jobsite <br />tour will be held at 2:00 p.m., local time. <br />B. <br />All questions concerning the Contract Documents shall be submitted to <br />ENGINEER in writing. Questions should include seeming inconsistencies <br />between different provisions of the Contract Documents. Replies will be <br />issued by addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by ENGINEER <br />as having received the bid documents. Questions received fewer than 5 <br />working days prior to the date for opening of Bids will not be answered. <br />Only questions answered by formal written Addenda will be binding.
