INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS CROSS REFERENCB TO PRIMARY STATEMENTS: Definitions, requirements and limitations affecting the bidding are contained in the various Contract Documents and are not necessarily repeated in these instructions. PREQDALIFICATION OF CONTRACTORS: Bidders/General Contractors (including all parties of a joint venture, each completing a separate form, but submitting all forms together) are required to submit evidence that they have a practical knowledge of the particular Work bid upon, and that they have the financial resources to complete the proposed Work. A preprinted prequalification request form for use in supplying the required information may be obtained from the ENGINEER. In determining the respondent's qualifications, the following factors will be considered: Work previously completed by the respondent and whether the respondent (a) complies with pertinent experience requirements of SECTION 02340 - BENTONITE CUTOFF WALL, (b) maintains a permanent place of business, (c) has adequate plant and equipment to do the Work properly and expeditiously, (d) has the financial resources to meet all obligations incident to the Work, and (e) has appropriate technical experience. Each respondent may be required to demonstrate that no just claims are pending against prior work. No Bid will be accepted from a Bidder who is engaged on any work which would impair his ability to perform or finance this Work. At least 5 days prior to Bid opening, ENGINEER shall transmit to all planholders a list of all prequalified Bidders and CONTRACTORS. Bids received from Bidders (including all joint venture parties) who have not been prequalified will not be opened.
