Specifications. Bidders are encouraged to identify as many aspects of the
work as possible to enhance the utilization of SDBES.
The Work is to commence on the day indicated in the Notice to Proceed. A
Notice to Proceed may be given at any time within 45 days after the
Effective Date of the Agreement. Completion of the Work shall be in
accordance with the following deadline schedule:
Completion Item Date
Substantial Completion January 1, 2004
Final Completion April 1, 2004
Hid Security equaling five percent (5~) of the total bid must accompany
each Bid in the form of a certified check, a bank cashier's check drawn on
an accredited Denver area bank, or a Bid Bond in the form attached.
The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Construction
Performance Bond and a Construction Payment Bond, each in the full amount
of the Contract, executed by a corporate Surety authorized to do business
in Colorado (and satisfying the requirements set forth in ARTICLE 5 - BONDS
AND INSURANCE in the General Conditions), guaranteeing faithful performance
and the payment of all bills and obligations arising from the performance
of the Contract.
No Bid may be withdrawn within a period of 45 days after the date fixed for
opening Bids.
OWNER reserves the right to reject any and/or all Bids, to waive
informalities and to reject nonconforming, non-responsive, or
conditional Bida.
