INVITATION TO BID Sealed Bids will be received by the City and County of Denver, acting by and through its Board of Water Commissioners (OWNER), at 1600 West 12th Avenue, Denver, Colorado 80204, in Room 308 until 2:00 p.m., local time, Tuesday, July 15, 2003, to Construct a Slurry Wall around Hazeltine, Road Runner Rest II and Brinkmann-Woodward Gravel Reservoirs. At said place and time, all bids that have been duly received will be publicly opened and read aloud. The work to be done, for which Bids are invited, shall consist primarily of furnishing and installing 14,800 feet of slurry wall. The project also includes approximately 6,380 linear feet of 24 and 18-inch drainage pipe, earthwork and appurtenant structures. The Contract will be awarded on an "all or none" basis. Refer to the Drawings and technical Specifications for a more specific description of Work. All Bids must be in accordance with the Contract Documents on file with Denver Water's Engineering Division, 1600 West 12th Avenue, Denver, Colorado 80204. Copies of Contract Documents for use in preparing Bids may be obtained from Denver Water (telephone number (303) 628-6633) at the address stipulated above. Drawings and Specification charges shall be as stipulated below. No refunds will be made. Document Cost One complete set of full size Drawings, Specifications and Bid Documents $100.00 Prequalification of all Bidders/General Contractors will be required. Qualification forms are obtainable from Denver Water. Completed prequalification forms must be received by Gary T. Aberle, (Mail Code 531), Denver Water, 1600 West 12th Avenue, Denver, CO 80204, no later than Wednesday, July 9, 2003. Bids received from Bidders, including all parties to a joint venture, who are not prequalified will not be opened. Bids which indicate the use of manufactured items not in compliance with the prequalification requirements thereof, may result in rejection of the Bid. A mandatory prebid conference covering project questions is scheduled for 10:00 a.m., local time, Monday, July 7, 2003 in Room 308, 1600 West 12th Avenue, Denver, CO 80204, Following this conference a mandatory jobsite tour will be held at 2:00 p.m., local time. Bidders shall comply with the provisions of the Board's Nondiscrimination in Contracting Program set forth in the Contract Documents. Goals for this project have been established as 59s participation of the total bid amount.
