INVITATION TO BID <br />Sealed Bids will be received by the City and County of Denver, acting by <br />and through its Board of Water Commissioners (OWNER), at 1600 West 12th <br />Avenue, Denver, Colorado 80204, in Room 308 until 2:00 p.m., local time, <br />Tuesday, July 15, 2003, to Construct a Slurry Wall around Hazeltine, Road <br />Runner Rest II and Brinkmann-Woodward Gravel Reservoirs. At said place and <br />time, all bids that have been duly received will be publicly opened and <br />read aloud. <br />The work to be done, for which Bids are invited, shall consist primarily of <br />furnishing and installing 14,800 feet of slurry wall. The project also <br />includes approximately 6,380 linear feet of 24 and 18-inch drainage pipe, <br />earthwork and appurtenant structures. <br />The Contract will be awarded on an "all or none" basis. Refer to the <br />Drawings and technical Specifications for a more specific description of <br />Work. <br />All Bids must be in accordance with the Contract Documents on file with <br />Denver Water's Engineering Division, 1600 West 12th Avenue, Denver, <br />Colorado 80204. <br />Copies of Contract Documents for use in preparing Bids may be obtained from <br />Denver Water (telephone number (303) 628-6633) at the address stipulated <br />above. Drawings and Specification charges shall be as stipulated below. No <br />refunds will be made. <br />Document Cost <br />One complete set of full size Drawings, <br />Specifications and Bid Documents $100.00 <br />Prequalification of all Bidders/General Contractors will be required. <br />Qualification forms are obtainable from Denver Water. Completed <br />prequalification forms must be received by Gary T. Aberle, (Mail Code 531), <br />Denver Water, 1600 West 12th Avenue, Denver, CO 80204, no later than <br />Wednesday, July 9, 2003. Bids received from Bidders, including all parties <br />to a joint venture, who are not prequalified will not be opened. Bids <br />which indicate the use of manufactured items not in compliance with the <br />prequalification requirements thereof, may result in rejection of the Bid. <br />A mandatory prebid conference covering project questions is scheduled for <br />10:00 a.m., local time, Monday, July 7, 2003 in Room 308, 1600 West 12th <br />Avenue, Denver, CO 80204, Following this conference a mandatory jobsite <br />tour will be held at 2:00 p.m., local time. <br />Bidders shall comply with the provisions of the Board's Nondiscrimination <br />in Contracting Program set forth in the Contract Documents.
