Gravel Mine Disturbed Area llescription Acreage
1. Mining Area (includes old 110 permit area) 22.1
2. Sediment Ponds 5.2
3. Topsoil/Fines Stockpiles 1.4
4. Processing and Stockpile Area (May also be Mined) 6.7
5. Shop/Office azea with Parking 1.0
6. Access Roads 1.8
7. Camp Area 2.3
Total 40.50
The entire disturbed azea for this operation has been previously disturbed by pre-law mining. It
should be noted that this disturbed azea is the total for the mine life. The gravel operation has 46.9
acres in the new mine area and 11.8 acres in the older 110 mine area for a total of 58.7 acres. When
gravel mining moves from the old 110 azea to the area north of the gold plant, the old 110 azea will
be reclaimed, therefore, the worst case acreage to reclaim at any one time is the disturbed azea of
40.5 acres less the 11.8 acres of the old 110 area which is 28.7 acres. The total gravel portion of the
permit azea is divided as follows:
Gravel Mine Permit Area Description Acreage
1. Mine Disturbed Area (All Pre-Law Disturbed) 40.5
2. Additional Pre-Law Disturbed Area Within Permit 11.5
3. Undisturbed Area 6.7
Total 58.70
The 11.5 acres of additional pre-law disturbance that is present in the permit azea consists of past
highwalls on the east side of the disturbance and some gravel azeas that may not be re-disturbed. The
Trust will make every effort possible to reclaim as many of the older pre-law azeas as possible, how-
ever, their reclamation cannot be guazanteed since it is dependent upon profitable operation over
Alma Placer 7/03 25
