CrrN/irnr i„n n/ na nsex.rgm rd /aci)ities - By <br />entering iNO this contract, the Purchaser certifies that <br />it does not and will not maintain or provide for its em- <br />ployees any segregated facilities at any of its establish- <br />ments, and that it does not and will not permit its em- <br />ployees to perform their services et any location, under <br />its control, where segregated fetllilies are maintained. <br />The Purchaser agrees that a breech of this certification <br />is a violation of the Equal Opportunity clause of lfiis <br />tnnlrect. Default; notice; suspension; r<oocntion; and <br />expenses - (a) Where the Authorized Officer determines <br />that the Purchaser has [ailed to comply with the terms <br />'and conditions of this contract, or the provisions of <br />applicable regulations, the Authorized Ot[lcer shall <br />serve notice of noncompliance upon the Purchaser. This <br />notice shall specify the nature of the noncoinpll6nce, <br />the action or actions which must ba taken to correct it, <br />and the time limits within which such action must 6e <br />taken. <br />(6) Where the Purchaser [ells to correct the nancom- <br />plience in accordance with the notice, the Authorized <br />Officer may take whatever action is necessary to protect <br />[he Government's interest, including cancell:dian of the <br />conUact. <br />(c) Purchaser shell be liable for any damage to the <br />Government resulting from breach of this contract and <br />any expense incurred by the Government by reason of <br />continued default. <br />Sac. 24. Unlawful interest - No Member oE, or Delegate <br />to, Congress, or Resident Commissioner, after his elen- <br />tion or appointment, either before or after he has qualified, <br />end during his continuance in office, and no officer, <br />agent, or employee of the Department o! the lnteri nr <br />shall be admitted to any share ar pert in this contract <br />or derive any beneCtt that may arise thereGom, but this <br />provision shalt not be construed to apply to this contract <br />i[ made with a corporation for its general benefit. Appea! - An appeal as provided by the regu- <br />lations of the Depertmont of the Interior may be taken <br />from any derision of the Authorized Officer to the Board <br />of Land Appeals in the Office oI Hearing and Appeals, <br />Office of the Secretary pursuant to the Dopertment's <br />Hearings and Appeals procedures (43 CFR Part 4; Sub- <br />part E). <br />
