Mows in tl)e dit..h, when they OrCLIY, whether it he irrigation water ar storm runoff fr~~m disturbed area drainage, is carried off of the permit area via 1:l)e ditch system. In addition, water in t!)e ditc}) from w!)atever source, is not mc.nitored for flow nr water quality standards by tl)e ~=e~mpany as it enters or leaves t!)e permit area. GENEF~AL COMMENTS. An attempt was made to inspect the major drainage r_ontr_~1 structures on t})e mine, sediment pond M3-S and M3-N. Potl) were snow cr_~vered but evidence of standing water was nt~ted. T})e spillway systems, ert~ergen~.y and primary, appeared to be in functic.nal order, })c,k,ever most of t!)e structures were snow=over ed. No evidence of a discharge was noted from either of tl)e two ponds. Same c.1 t})e terrar_es on t})e sc~utlt mine were c~!)en with no evidence of brea4:s, rills or oullies nc.ted in t})e structures.
