DICK WARD:
BRAD JAMES:
LARRY BROWN:
BRAD JAMES:
DICK WARD:
BRAD JAMES:
DICK WARD:
BRAD JAMES:
DICK WARD:
BRAD JAMES:
DICK WARD:
BRAD JAMES:
DICK WARD:
BRAD JAMES:
area as yet Chey have no visible or viable means of access as far as I~know.
So before they mine that area we need to know how they are going to get to it.
3) That the applicant submit a clear and reasonable plan for concurrent
reclamation including information regarding topsoil stockpile locations
and method of handling and replacement, seed bed preparation, seed mixtures
to be used, so31 amendments, sequence and time of planting and other pertinent
information regarding revegetation. Additionally, that trees, for example,
cottonwoods be planted on dividers or buffers between ponds and not on
shorelines of screening mounds, since;
4) the staff believes Che creation of screening mounds along the St. Vrain,
with the exception of the reconstruction of buffers on previously affected
land, could adversely influence the flow of }sigh waters during flood stage.
Subsequently, no screening mounds should be constructed along the St. Vrain
or within the 100 year flood plain of the St. Vrain nor perpindicular to the
St. Vrain Creek such that obstruction of high water could result.
Before you go further Brad, I'm just trying to, what I am getting is
the staffs interpretation that this is an incomplete application.
It is..
It is an inadequate application.
It is inadequate but it is not inadequate such that this information
couldn't be supplied. In other words, I don't think it would prevent them
from beginning mining operations as long as this is done in an expedient
manner, we get the information.
But they don't have a plan for reclamation.
They have a reclamation plan that is being worked out with the SCS.
But you don't have one do you?
No, I don't. And the thing is, as I stated earlier, it would have to be
to the satisfaction of the staff and/or Board. If you don't want to go on..
That's what I wanted to find out, whether we needed to go on.
I felt [liar the nature of this information is predominantly baseline
information that could be supplied at a later time.
The reclamation plan is not based on what they are going to do, I hear
that initially, and then I hear about inadequacies, and....
They have a reclamation plan, but they do not specifically spell out how
they are going to utilize the topsoil stockpiles as far as locating them,
in relationship to the mining, and how mining would affect....
What about the SCS plan?
SCS seed mixtures (inaudible)
I don't expect a problem with it.
