EXhIIBIT C-IA (CONTINUED)
The additional 10+ acre area, that is subject of this Amendment #1, is located along the
eastern boundary of this area and is shown on all of the accompanying map exhibits. The
area where mining has been initiated is also shown as a cross-hatched area on the MINING
PLAN MAP (EXHIBIT C-2).
The structures within 200' of this portion of the proposed amended mining area that are not
under the ownership or control of the applicant are: (1) the Wyco Pipeline; (2) greenhouse
structures within 50t' adjacent to the southeast corner of this proposed mining area; and (3)
the Bull Seep Ditch. Mining in this area is subject to agreement with the Urban Drainage and
Flood Control District on setback from the South Platte River and improvements along the
River, which has been added to Appendix I, and the previously mentioned agreement with
the Wyco pipeline owner. On the Bull Seep Ditch and greenhouse structures, the required
setbacks and the final sloping insure the stability of these structures. A letter from the owner
of the Bull Seep has also been added to the Appendix I to the same previously mentioned two
opinions by a registered engineer copied in Appendix 1, that addressed the stability of these
structures in relation to the proposed special setback and sloping requirements. In addition,
as was mentioned before, the owners of these structures was notified in the original permit
application and none objected to the permit issuance of the mining setbacks.
3. The third portion of the amended permit area is the 34t acre area east of the Bull Seep Ditch
to Monaco Street. This area is utilized for irrigated and non-irrigated cropland, pastureland,
and other non-farmed or pastured area. Soils are Loamy.Alluvial Land, moderately wet (Lw),
Terrace Escarpments (Tc) , and Vona Sand Loam (VoB, 1-3% slopes and VoC, 3-5%
slopes). This area is designated as Area 2C on the MINING PLAN MAP, EXHIBIT C-2 and
on the RECLAMATION PLAN MAP, EXHIBIT F. The mining/reclamation plan for this
area has not changed with this Amendment 91.
The structures within 200' of this portion of the proposed mining area that are not under the
ownership or control of the applicant are: (1) the Bull Seep Ditch; and (2) Monaco Street with
approximately 24' of paved road, underground utilities, and several power poles within the
Monaco Street right-of-way. The same previously mentioned two opinions by a registered
engineer copied in Appendix I covers these structures, and as with the previous two portions
of the amended permit area, there was no objection by the owners of these structures in the
original permit issuance.
A more detailed breakdown of present use, soils, topography, and vegetation is shown on PRE-
MINING MAP, EXHIBIT C-UB, and EXHIBIT UI - SOILS AND VEGETATION INFORMATION.
Page '), EXHIBIT C-IA
