;.
Phase Nb Weekly Summary No. 32 Page 2 -' 003-2203 - - -
Ames hauled, placed, and compacted Soil Liner Fill (SLF} material into the Phase IVb OSA on the east
slope of Chicken Hawk Hill (west of the PSSA) and in the repair area below the LOB. SLF material
was worked, tested, and passed per project specifications prior to SLF surface acceptance and
geomembrane deployment. Ames continued to maintain the finished surface by moisture conditioning
and re-compacting exposed SLF areas.
Ames removed Drain Cover Fill (DCF) from the Phase IVb north LOB area in preparation of
geomembrane liner fie-in
Ames continued production of DCF at the screen plant located near the Secondary Crusher. Ames also
resumed limited production of SLF.
Poly-Flex continued deployment of 80-mil single-sided textured LLDPE geomembrane in the Phase
P/b OSA on the east-facing slope of Chicken Hawk Hill. Poly-Flex deployed 80-mil single-sided
textured LLDPE geomembrane over an area of approximately 281,644 square feet in the Phase IVb
OSA during this reporting period. Geomembrane panels B-829 through B-948 were deployed, seamed,
and tested by Poly-Flex. Destructive fusion and extrusion seam samples DFb-240 through DFb-272
and DXb-47 were marked and a portion were removed. The results of testing on destructive fusion and
extrusion samples DFb-257, DFb-258, and DXb-47 passed per project specification. Outstanding
destructive fusion seam saniples will be tested during the following reporting period.
A map of the area worked during this reporting period is provided in Attachment C.
Phase IVc
Ames resumed contouring and compaction of subgrade Structural FiIl (SF} in preparation for Soil Liner
Fill (SLF) placement in the Phase IVc OSA scheduled for next construction season.
Ames excavated and constructed the geogrid Iayout at underground working UG-304, placing Select
Structural Fill (SSF} and geogrid, as part of the underground working remediation.
ADR Liner Expansion
Ames excavated, and re-routed the ADR and CC&V Lab water main and gas lines within the ADR
Liner Expansion area. Ames cut and extended the water and gas utilities with the assistance of CC&V.
Ames placed bedding fill material above Lhe lines in ±he trench and backfilled the excavated area with
SF material to finish grade.
Ames hauled, placod, and compacted SLF material into the ADR Liner Expansion area east of the
CC&V lab.
Ames continued to remove DCF in areas north and northwest of the CC&V lab in the ADR liner
expansion area in preparation for geomembrane deployment.
rnaz~~w;asePO~taia-syr~no,ztmo; GolderASSOCiateslnc.
