Cresson Project Phase IVb, c Construction Quality Assurance
Dear Mr. Roberts,
Golder Associates Inc. (Golder) is pleased to submit this summary of Phase IVb and c Construction
Quality Assurance (CQA} services performed for the Cresson Project during the period of September
I4 through September 27, 2003.
The weather during this reporting period was clear to cloudy. Approximate daytime low
temperatures ranged from 27° F to 45° F, and highs ranged from 62° F to 81° F. Weather
observations were made on eleven days of this fourteen-day reporting period.
Construction Synopsis
Ames Construction Inc. (Ames) of Aurora, Colorado is the earthworks contractor for the Phase IVb
construction. Ames conducted Phase IVb construction actvifies on eleven days of this fourteen-day
reporting period (September 15 through September 20 and September 22 through September 26). Poly-
Flex conducted Phase IVb construction activities on six days of this fourteen-day reporting period
(September 22 through September 27).
Phase IVb
Ames completed contouring and compaction of subgrade Structural Fill (SF) in preparation for Soil
Liner Fill (SLF) placement in the Phase IVb OSA on the east-facing slope of Chicken Hawk Hill, west
of the PSSA, and at the LOB repair azea.
Ames continued excavation of the Phase IVb OSA geomembrane anchor trench at the Phase N b/c tie-
in area, and along the west end berm, excavating approximately ]400 lineaz feet of anchor trench in
preparation for geomembrane deployment.
