Exhibit H
Wildlife Information
H.1 Protection of Wildlife and Habitat
The expansion to the surface facilities area and proposed vent holes are currently being surveyed
for the presence of threatened and endangered plant and animal species, other wildlife, vegetative
cover, and wetlands. Biological and cultural surveys for the areas of future disturbance that aze
not yet determined will be performed when those areas are identified. Biological surveys for all
raptors will be performed when any disturbances are anticipated on the cliffs of Gypsum Ridge
near the face of the mine. Prior to disturbance biological surveys for Golden Eagles will be
performed on all areas to be disturbed.
Mine workings that have remained inactive for a long period of time may have become habitat for
bats. In the event that any bats are observed in the mine workings, Denison personnel will cease
all activities in the area and report the finding to the BLM. Any recommendations made by BLM
personnel will be carried out by Denison. These recommendations may include, among others,
relocation of a bat or cessation of activities in the mine workings until the breeding season is
over.
H.2 Department of Wildlife Recommendations
A request for recommendations was submitted to the US Department of Wildlife (DOW) on
March 9, 2007 by facsimile. A copy of the request is included in this exhibit. Denison commits
to comply with any recommendations provided by the DOW.
5-18-2007 Exhibit H Wildlife Info II-1
