5. 1 called Scott Miller of CDPHE in Grand Junction (970 248-7160) and told him of [he <br />dust complaint. He said he would investigate. I said I would send a follow up letter. <br />6. I called Bill Carter and asked him to look for rocks at the property and dust at mine site. <br />Bill inspected the Rugh house that afternoon. <br />At night, I talked to Bill Carter about his investigation that day. He gave me the Rugh <br />telephone number (970 929-5626). <br />8. At night. I talked to Terry Rugh at length about the blast. <br />9. At night, afrer talking to Terry Rugh, I talked to Bill Carter and asked him to go back to <br />the Rugh house and look for three pieces of rock on top of a rabbit cage that Terry Rugh <br />said were there. <br />Tucsday~July 12. 1997 <br />10. I sent a follow up letter to Scott Miller. I sent a copy to Bill Beaz. I sent another copy, <br />with a cover letter, to Doug Frazier. <br />1 1. I sent a memo to Bill York-Feirn conceming the issues of storing explosives and of safety <br />concerns, both at Bowie No. 2. <br />12. Bill Carter inspected the Rugh house for the second time. <br />13. At night, I talked to Terry Rugh and asked him to fax a letter detailing his complaint. <br />14. At night, I talked to Doug Frazier and asked him for permission to send his letter to the <br />operator. He said that was OK. <br />Wednesday. July 23. 1997 <br />15. We had a meeting at the Division conceming the dust and blast problems. In attendance <br />were Susan McCannon, David Berry Susan Burgmaier, Bill York-Feim and myself. <br />16. [got the taxed letter from Terry Rugh. <br />17. I sent a letter to Bill Bear Jr. requesting blasting information within five days of receipt of <br />that letter. <br />
