Mr. Kent Gorham
November 16, 1994
Page 19
Spring 7-9 lies outside the area of any potential minv~g impacts given mining to
date and typically exhibits minute flow magnitudes. Advance mining in the
closest proximity to this site took place in 1985 apprmci~oately 2500 feet distant
from the site. A sufficient hydrology database consisting of flow, field
parameter, and water quality information had been established for this location
prior to 1993 to define the pre-m~*+~*~ hydrology at this site. During 1993, no
new mining activities with the potential of creating detectable impacts oa,-urred
in the vicinity of this site.
Currenntly this spring is not required to be monitored further. 'This spring has
been petaiarner~tly suspended from the monitoring netwark. As oared to current
requinanents, rw monitoring omissions oalrrred during 1993; two additional flow
and field parameter visit ooc~sred in 1993.
Spring 7-10:
Spring 7-10 overlies an area of the East Mine outside of the projected subsidence
zone given the extent of mi ' to date. Advance mining In the nearest proximity
to this site ooczsred in 1985 score 1800 feet distant fx+~n the site. A sufficient
hydrology database consisting of flow, water level, field parameter, and water
quality information had been established prior to 1993 to define the pre-mining
hydrology at this location. During 1993, no new mining activities with the
potential of caeatirg detectable impacts oociured in the vicinity of Spring 7-10.
Currently this spring is not required to be monitored further until one year
prior to reinitiating development of the Fast Mine. As oca[~ared to current
r~ ' emPnts, no monitoring omissions occurred during 1993; one additional water
level, flow, and field parameter visit ooc~n-red in 1993.
Spring 8-5:
Spring 8-5 overlies an area of the East Mine outside of the projected subsidence
zone given the extent of mining to date. Retreat mining in the nearest proximity
to this site oaan2ed in 1986 some 2500 feet distant fr® the site. A sufficient
hydrology database oansistirg of flow, water level, field parameter, arrl water
quality infonmatio~n had been established prior to 1993 to define the pre-mining
hydrology at this location. During 1993, no new mining activities with the
potential of creating detectable impacts oocaured in the vicinity of Spring 8-5.
Currently this spring is not required to be monitored further until one year
prior to reinitiating development of the Fast Mine. As oared to current
requirements, no monitoring omissienLS ocaured during 1993; two additional water
level, flow, aryl field parameter visit ooQUred in 1993.
Surface Water Monitoring Stations -Streams
SW06:
