During 2004, Mount Royale Ventures, LLC carried out prospecting
activties (under Prospecting Permit No. P2004-007) that encompassed
substantial progress toward the completion of a 425-foot exploration
crosscut (referred to as the Mount Royale No. 1 Adk) in order to intercept
various vein systems and ultimately access the 3n°-Level workings of the
Cash Mine. As a result of this exploration program, Mount Royale
Ventures, LLC has determined that underground mining is viable.
Initial evaluations indicate that underground mining can be conducted at a
nominal 50 tons per day (tpd) operational level by carrying out necessary
improvements to the Mount Royale No. 1 Adit in conjunction wkh the
addkion of ancillary structures for ore handling and. mining activity at the
portal area. As mine development proceeds and mining efficiencies are
integrated into the operation, k is anticipated that the nominal production
rate may increase, but would still remain below 70,000 tons per year.
Mine production will employ selective mining techniques to extract high-
grade gold and silver ore from multiple narrow-vein mineralized areas
ident~ed as a resuk of the exploration activities. The high~rade gold and
silver ore to be produced from the Mount Royale No. 1 (and No. 2) Adk(s)
will be transported by truck to the nearby Gold Hill Mill (MLRD Permit No.
M-94-117) for subsequent concentrating.
Regional access to the Mount Royale adit areas for mine workers would
be via Boulder County Road 52 (Sunshine Canyon Drive) to the Gold Hill
Mill and down the connecting road to and through the Cash and Who Do
Mine areas. Akernatively, the ske is accessible from the south via
Boulder County Road 89 (Gold Run Road) from the Summerville area and
fuming north onto the lower Cash Mine access road. Employee parking
would be accommodated proximal to the portal area surface facilities.
Pre-Minina Develoament: Most of the pre-mining development has
already been completed in conjunction with the 2004-initiated exploration
activties. This includes sign cant progress toward the completion of the
Mount Royale No. 1 Adk to its planned intercept length of approximately
425 feet. Power is available to the portal area via an existing power line.
Developmental waste rods (consisting of non-mineralized granite) is being
stockpiled at the portal area such that it creates a level, terrace-like
working area at approximately the 7,825-foot elevation. Provision for
waste rods disposal area expansion has been made in an easterly
extending direction, as well as in the topographic low area immediately
south of the existing road, proximal to the portal area.
Mount Royale Ventures, LLC will erect additional structures as necessary
to support mining operations at the portal area prior to initiation of ore
production. It is anticlpated that a combination ore binAoad-out structure
wilt be erected, along with a combination mechanicaUshop and supply
structure for the servicing of underground mine equipment and storage of
parts and supplies. Other infrastructure to be constructed includes the
miner's dry and office facility, and appurtenant sanitary faclties.
Appllcatlon 6
