Recent prospecting activities have also been carried out (under MLRD-
issued Prospecting Permit P2004-006) in areas east of the Mount Royale
No. 1 Adit, and a potential second adit location has been ident'fiied in the
vicinity of the former Atanta Mine. It is situated within the SE '/. of the SE
%. of Section 12, Township 1 North, Range 72 West of the 6"' Principal
Meridian, Boulder County, Colorado. Elevation generally ranges from
7,600 to 7,830 feet amsl. The area indudes the former Five Points
Tunnel site at the Atlarrta Mine and related underground entries or
surface exposures, as well as associated waste rock piles. Mount Royale
Ventures, LLC has not yet determined a schedule for adit development in
this area; however, the probable adit location (which has been assigned
the name "Mount Royale No. 2") is anticpated to be in the general area of
the former Atlanta Mine adit. The adit would likely be driven in a generally
north-northwesterly direction. Mount Royale Ventures, LLC has also
made provision for necessary surtace area to support associated portal
area infrastructure fadlities at this location.
11. Primary Future (Post-Mining) Land Use
No Change: Forestry (FR)
12. Primary Present Land Use
No Change: Forestry (FR)
13. Designated Chemicals and/or Acid Mine Drainage
The Cash and Who Do Mine Project will not use °designated chemicals°
as it does not incorporate extractive metallurgical processing within the
Permit Area.
The Cash and Who Do Mine Project will not disturb "acidic or toxic-
fortning materials". Further, the Cash and Who Do Mine Project does not
currently exhibit "acid mine drainage"; the planned disturbances are not
anticipated to encounter "acidic or toxic-forming materials"; and, the
mining operation is not anticipated to result in "acid mine drainage°.
[Note: Refer also to Exhibit C -Item (k) and Exhibit M (Miller Report) for
supplemental information in this regard]
14. Description of Project
The Cash and Who Do Mine Project essentially modifies underground
mining activity at the Cash and Who Do Mines from shaft production to
adit production. The proposed operation will differ from prior operations in
that primary underground mine production will be carried out via the new
adit entry (initiated as an exploration adit in late 2004), as opposed to the
former hoisting operations that were previously conducted through the
Cash Mine shaft.
Application 5
