(intended to extend northerly up Cash Gulch but never constructed) are to <br />tx? eliminated from the permit area, and the main body of the permit area <br />is to be somewhat enlarged to accommodate proposed surface activities. <br />The area is situated within the NW%, of the SE1/4; Section 12; Township <br />1 North; Range 72 West of the 6"' Principal Meridian, Boulder County, <br />Colorado. Elevation generally ranges from 7,950 to 8,080 amsl across <br />the area. The Cash Mine Area indudes the Cash Mine shaft and <br />headframe, hoist building, storage and shop structures, and what remains <br />of its assodated waste rods pile. <br />Who Oo Mine Area: The amended Who Do Mine area (as proposed) will <br />consist of 2.42 acres (the existing permitted area is 1.43 acres, indusive <br />of roadways and the Who Do 100-Level). The previously proposed (but <br />never constructed) Who Do -Cash connector roadway is to be eliminated <br />from the permit area, and the main body of the permit area is to be <br />somewhat enlarged to accommodate proposed activities. The Who Do <br />Mine area is situated immediately west of and acxoss Cash Gulch from <br />the Cash mine, more specifically being within the NE Y. of the SW %.; <br />Section f 2; Township 1 North; Range 72 West of the S'" Principal <br />Meridian, Boulder County, Colorado. Elevation generally ranges from <br />7,970 to about 8,050 feet amsl. The Who Do Mine area indudes the Who <br />Do shaft and headframe, the Donald R. and Bellevue adks, and two <br />assodated waste rods piles occupying the area extending from the <br />Donald R. Adit southerly to the Bellevue Adit. It also includes the <br />roadway extending southerly alongside and down Cash Gulch to a waste <br />rods stockpile area assocated with the former Who Do Mine 100-Level. <br />Mount Rovale Area: This new area will represent an addition to the M-83- <br />14f Pernik Area, and with its St. Joe shaft sub-area encompasses a total <br />of 4.65 acres. It is generally situated wthin the NW %. of the SE Y.; <br />Section 12; Township 1 North; Range 72 West of the 6'" Prindpal <br />Meridian, Boulder County, Colorado. The approximate elevation ranges <br />from 7,725 to 7,850 feet amsl across the main body of the area. The <br />portal area indudes the recently driven exploration adit (Mount Royale <br />No. 1) that is to be converted to a production adk, as well as certain <br />modular structures serving as miner's dry and office facilities. It also <br />includes the associated waste rock pile resulting from the Mount Royale <br />No. 1 Adit development activities carried out under the MLRD-issued <br />Prospecting Permit No. P2004-007. Structures to be added in this area <br />are to include a mine office/dry, maintenance facilties, and a mutti- <br />compartment ore biMoadout. Mine production will be from the Mount <br />Royale No. 1 Adk, which was driven westerly to competent ground, and <br />then approximately 425 feet in a northwesterly direction to intercept the <br />3`~ Level workings of the Cash Mine. <br />Also associated with the Mount Royale Area is the "St. Joe Shaft Sub- <br />Area", an approximately 0.1 acre area (included) immediately surrounding <br />the St. Joe shaft that is to be utilized as an emergency escapeway. The <br />St. Joe shaft (collar elevation approximately 8,260-ft. amsl) is situated <br />approximately 900-feet northeast of the Cash shaft. <br />Application 4 <br />
