The Cash Mine shaft will be rehabilitated to the extent necessary to allow
its use for ventilation and/or as an emergency escape route, while
retaining the potential for possible future hoisting of ore. Surface
structures present at the Cash Mine (already a part of MLRD Permit No.
M-S3-141) when rehabi!$ated to serviceable condition wi!! be utilized in
the proposed operations.
Mount Royale Ventures, LLC proposes to utilize the existing roadway that
ascends from the Mount Royale portal area up to and through the Who
Do Mine area as a primary ore haulage route for hauling on; (by truck) to
the Gold Hill Mill. That portion of the roadway that extends northerly from
the Who Do Mine area that will require improvement (i.e., increased
switchback radii or cross-sectional profile) and/or enhanced maintenance
(such as repetitive grading and Gearing of rocks, etc.) to facilitate safe
truck haulage has been incorporated into the permit area. In conjunction
with the planned use, the roadway will in all areas be maintained such
that it conforms to applicable Mine Safety and Health Administration
(MSHA) standards.
Mining Oaerations: Primary mining operations would be carried out
through the Mount Royale Adit(s), to incude mine access/entry, ore
haulage, and waste rode removal. It is anticipated that the adit cross-
section (nominal 8' width x 8' height). will remain as developed during the
exploration phase. The minor volume of water generated through face
drilling activity (consistent with that encountered during exploration) will
continue to be collected and managed (evaporated) internal to the mine
at a face area sump and no adit discharges are anticipated.
While to date the exploration activity has utilized rubber-tired equipment,
the Mount Royale production edit(s) will be converted to a track-based
operation, and development and production mining will be conducted with
standard underground mining equipment such as jadklegs, mucking
machines, and ore cars. The Mount Royale Adit development will provide
access to other production areas underground. As necessary, ft is
anticpated that the waste rock stockpile will be expanded easterly from
the portal and/or downslope within the proposed permit area boundaries
as mine development and ore production commences. However, due to
the primary mining technique (resuing) to be employed on the narrow vein
structures, Mount Royale Ventures, LLC does not anticipate that
sign cant volumes of waste rock will be generated beyond that
necessary to access and explore the production areas.
Application
