Phase IVb Weekly Summarc No. 28 Paee 3 003-2303
fusion and extnision seam peel and sheaz tests on remaining 80-mil single-sided textured geomembrane
deploy ed during this reporting period passed per project specifications.
Pole-Flex resumed and completed deployment of 100-mil smooth LLDPE seomembrane in the Phase
IVb OSA, southwest of the PSSA. Polvfle?: deployed 100-mil smooth LLDPE eeomembrane over an
area of approximatel}° 78?72 square feet in the Phase Nb OSA during this reponing period.
Geomembrarte panels B-614 through B-6~7 were deployed. seamed. and tested b~ Poh-flex.
Destructii~e fusion and extrusion samples DFb-178 through DFb-18~ and DXb-~9 through D.Xb=iO
were marked and removed. Destructive fusion and extrusion seam peel and shear tests on 100-mi]
smooth geomembrane deployed during this reporting period passed per project specifications.
A map of the azea worked during this repomng period is provided in Attachment C.
Phase IVc
_4mes did not perform any construction activities in the Phase IVc azea during this reporting period.
Field Monitorine and Testing Activities
Golder observed construction activities associated with Phase IV earthworks. All construction materials
and soil materials placed were verified as suitable_ and construction methods were in accordance oath
project specifications.
Galder observed placement, compaction. and moisty*e conditioning of SLF in the Phase IVb OSA
far subgrade preparation. thckness. compaction. moisture canteat. and materials. The Golder CQA
Earthworks monitor performed eight nuclear moisture-density tests (SLNb-200 through SLNb-207}
and performed three nuclear moisture-density retests on SLF that required reworking (SLNb-200a.
201a. and 206x) located within the Phase IVb OSA. The SLF met the requirements of the
specifications prior to deployment of geomembrane. Field test results are presented in Attachment
B.
Golder observed placement and compaction of BF in the Phase IVb OS_4. Golder CQA verified
minim'.tm thickness of 1 font for finish wade. and method compaction for finish and surface
acceptaz*tce_ as required.
Gai_der observed placement of secondary and tertia-v HVSCS pipi-tg in the Phase Ne OSA.
verifying ccnstruction and layout per the project plans.
Golder obsen~ed placement of the LVSCS riser piping and LVSCF into the 2H:1 V riser slope trench.
verifying constructian per the project plans.
Golder visually observed placement and grading of DCF in the Phase 1 Vb OSA. Golder CQA
monitors (one monitor per dater when dozers are greater than d0 fr apan) observed DCF placement
and verified minimum thickness of 2 feet for finish grade, 4 feet for FIVSCS primate pipe locations.
feet for 773 equipment. and 10 feet for haul road construction and equipment.
. ~a« nt _e;~m-v-.~~sso. ^oo: GOltler kSS6ClaY25 If~C.
