Mr. Stout
East Portal
- 2 - February 10, 1988
1) There is a ditch, unnumbered and unillustrated, that runs parallel
to D10 and immediately west of the mine entrance road. This will
not likely change so it could be added now to the proposed plan and
illustrations.
2) C7 empties into the unnumbered ditch referenced above. This is not
likely to change; so the map could be changed now.
3) CB does not empty into D15 as previously noted. Since a choice may
be made here by WFC for continuation into D15 by installation of
another culvert or use of a different ditch etc., the illustration
of this can wait until post-construction wrap up.
4) The ditch north of the access road running parallel to D8 should be
numbered and illustrated. It could be sized, typed etc. at this
time and added to the proposal and illustrations. This will not
change.
5) D8 has several pieces of drill pipe serving as culverts. These
should be replaced by culverts whose size could be determined now.
These could be numbered and added to the proposal.
6) The work on C10 is underway and a change in location is heing made
in the field. Illustration etc, can wait until post-construction
wrap up.
7) WFC will eventually make a choice of drop inlet for or culverts for
D20. This choice can be illustrated etc. in the final wrap up.
8) There are 2 unnumbered and unillustrated culverts and a ditch
leading into D24 from south of the nearby railroad tracks. The
locations, sizes of these will not change. These could be added
now to the proposed plan and illustrations.
91 A culvert is necessary for D25 to reach the drop inlet as
indicated. The inlet is north of a haul road segment D25 must
cross. The size of this culvert can be determined now and added to
the proposal. This should not change. Could this ditch lead into
the ditch etc. under 8) above and not cross the haul road?
10) A properly sized, numbered and illustrated culvert is needed in D24
under the ramp down the back side of the clean coal pile. This
could be determined now and added to the proposed plan and
illustrations. It should not change.
(~ ll) D11 could be illustrated now or later to continue past C30 to the
outlet of the culvert under Highway 1? where it actually starts.
12) The new access road to the RDA will require a ditch. This probably
could be sized now, added to the proposal and illustration together
with its connections to the system.
