. ~;
5. Required Maintenance - As set forth in paragraph 3 above.
6. Discharee Structures
Primary - Waterflow out of the primary dewatering
device is approximately two inches in depth and flows
onto riprap that is in good condition from the pipe
to the permit boundary. The riser is clear of debris
and some leakage occurs around the low level outlet
gate (knife valve) at the riser base. Water is enter-
ing the upstream end of the 20" pipe from an unknown
source.
Emereency Saillway - The spillway is in good condition
and there is no evidence of water flow in the spillway
since the first quarter inspection.
7. Inaut Structures - The is no water flow in the lateral
that enters the pond from the south, and as previously
discussed, clastic debris has accumulated at the lateral
terminus. The riprapped ditch that carries water from
Sedimentation Pond No.2 to this pond is in good condition
and the recently emplaced riprap in the lower one-third
of the ditch seems to effectively control erosion.
8. Miscellaneous - The rill discussed in paragraph 2 above
should be repaired. However, repair of the rill will be
useless in the long term unless the lateral at the top of
the rill is repaired or eliminated.
Uaaer Sedimentation Pond No.2
1. Structural Weakness - None.
2. Erosion and Veeetation - There are no rills or gullies on
the embankment slopes. Three minor rills cut the north
pond slope, and one minor rill is located on the south-
east pond slope. Vegetative growth on the embankment and
around the pond is excellent, which probably relates to
the unusually wet spring this year.
3. Hazardous and Potentially Hazardous Conditions - None
4. Sediment Level - Water level in the pond is 4.5 feet
below the top of the riser on the primary dewatering
device. Water depth in the pond measures 5.5 feet
throughout most of tt~e deeper part of the pond. One
measurement was 5.7 feet. These measurements probably
include 2 to 3 inches of mud. Sediment level is 10.2
feet below the riser top.
5. Required Maintenance - None.
