• -w~ 6. Discharge Structures
Primary - Water flow at the outflow is approximately
one inch in depth. Riprap at the outflow is in good
condition, and there is no leakage around the pipe.
The riser is clear of debris and water inflow is
through the two lowest slots in the riser. Water level
inside the riser is at the base of the low level
outlet gate.
Emer¢ency Spillway - Spillway in good condition, free
and clear of debris and there is no indication that
it has functioned since the first quarter inspection.
7. Inaut Structures - There is no water flow in the lateral
that enters the pond area from the south, however, the
small alluvial fan at its foot appears slightly larger
than previously reported. The principal input ditch at
the upstream end of the pond is in acceptable condition.
Although an alluvial fan has been deposited at its foot,
the fan has little effect on the impoundment volume of
the pond.
Exalosive Storaee Area Sedimentation Pond
1. Structural Weakness - None.
2. Erosion and Vegetation - No rills or gullies on embank-
ment or pond slopes. Vegetation similar to development on
Ponds Nos. 1&2.
3. Hazardous and Potentially Hazardous Conditions - None.
4. Sediment Level - Water level in the pond is 0.3 feet
above the base of the riser on the primary dewatering
device, and the water depth is a maximum of 3.0 feet.
Thus, the sediment level is 2.7 feet below the riser
base.
5. Required Maintenance - None
6. Discharge Structures
Primary - Minor flow at output end of pipe where
riprap is in reasonable condition. input riser is
clear of debris, and water is entering the pipe
through one-half inch holes in the base of the pipe.
Emergency Spillway - The riprapped spillway is in
good condition, and shows no evidence of water flow
since the first quarter 1995 inspection.
7. Inaut Structures - A minor flow of muddy water enters the
pond from the ditch that connects the pond to the
Northwest Sedimentation Trap. The ditch is in good condi-
tion, and muddy water in the pond prevents observation of
any alluvial fan buildup.
