Water Consumption for the Operation and Water RiEhts
The proposed gravel operation will use water for dust suppression on roads and in plants, raw gravel
crashing, screening and stockpiling as well as domestic/ sanitary uses in the shop building and living
trailers. The gravel operator will allow all wash water to enter settling basins which will overflow into
Pond A. From this pond, a pump will recycle clean water back to the plant. Makeup water will be
obtained from either the Columbia Ditch or the Point of Diversion pump in the River.
The proposed gold operation will use considerable water during gold plant processing. Additional
water will be used in road dust suppression and domestic use in the living trailers on site. This water
will be obtained from either the Columbia Ditch or the Point of Diversion pump in the River. Water
will also be recycled to the extent possible.
Alma Placer 7/03
59
