Army, Corps of Engineers, Sacramento <br />District has re-issued Regional General Permit (RGP} number GP- <br />004 which authorizes certain limited discharges of dredged and <br />fill material associated with minor road crossings in the State <br />of Colorado. Please refer to the enclosed copy of the RGP. This <br />permit is issued under the authority of the Clean Water Act. <br />Re-issuance of this RGP was based upon an evaluation of the <br />potential individual and cumulative impacts of the regulated <br />activities. Comments received in response to a public notice on <br />this proposal were considered in this evaluation. The Sacramento <br />District concluded that re-issuance of the RGP complies with the <br />Environmental Protection Agency Section 404(b}(1) Guidelines for <br />evaluating discharges of dredged or fill material in waters of <br />the United States, and is not contrary to the gublic interest. <br />The activities authorized by this RGP are similar in nature and <br />similar in their impact upon water quality and the aquatic <br />environment, will have only minimal adverse effects when <br />performed separately, and will have only minimal cumulative <br />adverse effects on water quality and the aquatic environment. <br />Pisase give special attention to the notification and approval <br />procadurea, terms, coaditioaa sad restrictions of the RGP. <br />ANYONB PROPOBING TO PBRPORli 1fOR1C AIIT80RZZSD UIiDER TSIB RGP ?SiTBT <br />OBTAIN APPROVAL FROM TH8 CORPH OF BNGIN8SR8 PRIOR TO BEGINNING <br />NoR1C.
